If you were as big of a fan of ESPN’s Its the Shoes, you would have seen a sneak peek at the limited Adidas NBA edition Superstars. Adidas is borrowing the idea of regional releases and will be dropping NBA Superstars in the home cities of each NBA team. These are supposedly going to be ultra-limited and will be gone the day they release.
One thing that Adidas got other than a great sneaker company when they bought Reebok in 2005 is they got the exclusive contract for the NBA and the NFL. Since Reebok is owned by Adidas now, they get the same rights and can therefore produce NBA and NFL licensed apparel (and sneakers) without a hitch.
